The Sacrament of Baptism

To request a baptism for your child, please read the following and use the form at the bottom of the page.

Basic Guidelines and Information for Baptism:
Parents are responsible for bringing their child up in the practice of the faith.
They should bring the child, to be Baptised, as soon as possible after birth.
Except in cases of urgent necessity the church is the normal place for baptism.
At least one of the parents has to be a Catholic.
The family should live within the parish boundaries.
 
Godparents
There is a maximum of 4 godparents.
At least one has to the male and at least one female.
At least one godparent has to be Catholic the others must all be Christians.
They should all be above the age of Confirmation and, if Catholic, have been confirmed.
A godparent CANNOT be a parent or a grandparent.
